March 6, 2012 Board Meeting Agenda Item #16 Title APPROVAL OF EXPULSION CASE NO. 12-292 Description The student listed in Expulsion Case No. 12-292, violated School Board Policy 5.34(1)(E), Committed any act which disrupts the orderly, peaceful, moral, and efficient operation of the school or school activity and School Board Policy 5.34(1)(g), Engaged in less serious but continuing misconduct including, but not limited to, the use of profane, obscene, or abusive language, or other acts which are detrimental to the educational function of the school.  It is the recommendation of the Superintendent that the student be expelled from the Sarasota County Schools until June 4, 2013. Recommendation That in accordance with provisions of Sections 1006.07(1)(a)(b), Florida Statutes and School Board Policy 5.34, and the holding of a hearing having been waived by the student/parent, the recommendation as specified in Expulsion Case No. 12-292, to expel the student referenced therein from the Sarasota County Schools, be approved effective immediately for the remainder of the 2011-2012 academic year, the 2012 summer session, and the entire 2012-2013 academic year.
